A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported the #HarissaKitchenFoodRescue mission allowing us to serve 11,424 free meals to local people in need during the COVID-19 crisis.
We’re a vibrant restaurant and social enterprise located in Sandyford, Newcastle.
Recently listed in The Good Food Guide 2020, we’ve also been awarded 3 stars by the Sustainable Restaurant Association in recognition of our approach to tackling important social and environmental issues.
Our dishes are inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa. Think tahini rich hummus, moreish mezze, fresh pitta bread and fiery Harissa. Serious flavours made with love (and help from our brilliant local producers).
Food, service and ambiance are top of our list – but there’s an added bonus. All profits are pumped back into its sister company, Food Nation, who inspire and educate people about good food across Newcastle and Gateshead.
We're sorry to say we won’t be opening for service on the 4th of July. With the current guidelines, we're unable to safely serve our customers and look after our staff in our lovely but very intimate restaurant.
BUT worry not, you’ll still be able to get your Harissa fix. Stay tuned to our social media pages as we’ll be announcing a series of pop-ups and events soon!
Love, team Harissa x
